Do you know, Malaysia government had been tried to utilize the potential from that country to attract more tourists to visit? Many efforts had been done, and the most succeed things are shopping tourism and culiner.
The Malaysia gov put a special focus to those 2 big potential, such as the launching of “Malaysia Saving Sale 2008″. The Vice of Malaysia P.M., Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, launched the logo and the beginning of period of shopping tourism.
According the data
that I got, Malaysia had been visited by more than 16.3 million tourists, during this year (Jan - Sept 2008). Comparing with the tourists who visited Indonesia, that ‘only’ 4.07 million, well, we can say that Indonesia gov must more take and manage tourism area seriously.
After launching “Malaysia Saving Sale 2008″, the Malaysia gov will launch “Malaysia Year-End Sale.” during November 29 2008 until Januari 4 2009.
