Namdaemun Gates, A Heritage in Seoul

Have you ever visited Seoul? If you had once, I’m sure you will know Namdemun gates. It is one of destinations in Seoul which has a great view. It is located in the centre of Seoul. It also has other name, Sungnyemun which has meaning as Gate for Great Ceremony.

Namdaemun itself has meaning as South Big Gates.

I will tell you a brief history of this gate. Namdaemun is the oldest wood building in Seoul. It has 2 floors, and the function are to greete the guess and also as the gate of city. This building was completed in 1398. Well, you can read the complete history of Namdaemun here.

I think for Korean movies lovers, this gate will be recognize easily since many Korean movies (I mean the modern Korea movies) use Seoul as their set.
