Yesterday, Garuda officially open new flight traffic, Denpasar - Shanghai. This action to anticipate the increasing of tourist from China to Bali. The opening means, the tourists from China will not transit in Jakarta, as they are used to be, but starting Dec 20 2008, they can flight direct to Denpasar.
The China tourists are very interesting with Bali, even the global crisis is still happen.
Bali Tourism Head, Gede Nurjaya gave information, the tourists from China were increasing quite significant during 2003-2007, with the peak is in 2006, more than 40 thousand China tourists came. In 2008, more 105 thousand tourists came and visit Bali.
