Decreasing, Visitor to Singapore. Blame on NPWP?

fahmi — January 11, 2009 / 10:20 am

Well, since the government apply the penalty for anyone who doesn’thave NPWP (tax id), the visiting to Singapore, from Sekupang International Harbour , is decreasing up to 75%. Zulkifli, the ticketing coordinator said this decreasing can be seen, since the normal visiting is about 500 tourists, but last week, there are only 275 visitors on last Friday and 215 visitors on last Thursday.

The fine, Rp 1 million, will be applied to anyone who doesn’t have NPWP when they want to go abroad. Well, actually it’s not a fine, it’s the fiscal fee. In other word, anyone who has NPWP will free of fiscal fee.

Hmmm…we can’t blame to the government rule since having NPWP can help government to increase tax (even the tax will ‘disappear’ wink).

Arrghhh…I can’t say any further for this problem, anyway. source
