Suvarnabhumi, A Gate To Gold Island

Suvarnabhumi is a international airport in Bangkok, Thailand. If we compare with our international airport, Soekarno Hatta, many good things will you find there, such as:

Luxurious
Huge
Comfort
No ticket scalper
No illegal taxi
Discipline
No “airport tax”

Based on Airports Council International November 2008, Suvarnabhumi is 18th busies airport in the world, 4th in Asia, and 1st in ASEAN, with 36.3million passengers a year.

Suvarnabhumi is spelled as suwana-poom, was given by Thailand King, Bhumibol Adulyadej, which has mean Gold Island (referring to Indochina islands).

Suvarnabhumi is located in Racha Thewa, district Bang Phli, Samut Prakan province. It is equipped by 130 check points in arrival gate, 8 check points in departure, 360 check in counters, plus additional 100 counters for passengers without luggage.

This airport, which was designed by Helmut Jahn, also has 22 luggage checking points, 107 walkways, 102 elevators, and 83 escalators.
