Maybe not many Indonesian tourists know that Japan has a magnificent destination, pearl island. This destination was located on Mikimoto, Mie prefecture, it’s about 150 km west Nagoya.
You can the demonstration to pick a pearl from bottom of the sea.
Mikimoto is well known as a center of pearl in Japan. From the raw until become a jewelry, you can follow those process here. This city grew up as pearl center since 1890 and become larger since 1937.
The other destination in Mikimoto is the huge aquarium, called Toba aquarium. At least 850 fish species were collected and be shown here.
