After bombing incident couple days ago, some people, especially who work in tourism, felt worry about the effect because they know since after Bali Bomb 1st and 2nd, many tourists canceled their flight/holiday to Bali. Of course, this is not a good news because many people depend their living from tourism.
But now, it’s changed. Since the police department announced about the background of bombing incident is no related with terrorism, the tourists are still targeting Bali as their destination for vacation.
Head of Bali Tourism, Drs I Gede Nurjaya, said the tourist traffic is still normal even some hotels in Sanu, Kuta, and Nusa Dua booked more than 60%. He also said, the tourism statistic in January 2008 is also increasing about 29.88%, compared with January 2007.
Finally, I Gede Nurjaya hopes people not over expose the bombing incident until the police announces the real situation and explain it in detail. The reason is currently Bali is in condusif situation and this is what everybody want, so the tourism area has a good prospect and can increase the capital, not only for Balinese but also for Indonesia Government.
