In Bali, there are many unique traditions that we find only in Bali. Omed-omedan is an example.
What is omed-omedan?
Omed-omedan is hug and activities tradition that to be done a day after Balinese (especially Hindunese) celebrate Nyepi. In omed-omedan, there will be 2 groups, male and female, sometimes they came from different village.
For note, only single male and female who are allowed to participate in this tradition. The male and female make a line in their own group, separated about 10-25 metres. After the group meet, what audience is waiting for is happen.
The hug and kiss activities between male and female from each group will happen. This activities will over after the committee spray the water to the group. But, many participants ignore this warning. They are still hugging and kissing each other. After 2-3 buckets of water, ere they stop the kissing activities and release the hug.
One more thing, this tradition is held only in Banjar Kaja village, in Denpasar, Bali. The participants are also must citizen from the this village also.
In Orde Baru regim, this tradition has been ever forbid. But after Orde Reformasi, this tradition can be continued.

So many people, young and old, men and women, natives and foreigners came in flocks to see a unique ritual in Banjar Kaja, Sesetan village, South Denpasar, a day after Nyepi. The old men from Banjar Kaja sprinkle the road. A moment later, while the members of sekaa teruna teruni Satya Dharma Kerti (youth organization; in Banjar Kaja, its youth organization is named Satya Dharma Kerti) was praying, a Barong dance was held. After the praying and dancing session was over, the core of this ritual came.
