On Tuesday, April 15 2008, 2 dalang (En: puppeter) demonstrated their abilities to play wayang kulit (shadow puppet). The special thing of this demo is the location, in United Nation HQ, Geneva, Switzerland.
Many officials from United Nation came on that night, such as Head of UNOG, Sergei A. Ordzhonikidze, Deputy of WIPO, Francis Gurry, Kerstin Holst as Unesco official, and Republic Indonesia Ambassador for United Nation, I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja.
The dialogue was using English with the theme is Dewaruci.
On this event, a gamelan music was also demonstrated, playing Java traditional song.
I think, if events like these can be organized (profesionally), it can attract more tourists come to Indonesia.
