Malaysia was held sampan race on May 5 2008. The location for this race was Labuan beach, Malaysia. More than 40 rower took participate in this race.
But, Indonesia that was representated by sampan tim from Ketapang, West Borneo, took the first place on the final. They beat other rowers. The 2nd place was Brunei and Malaysia.
The sampan race wasn’t the only one game on this event. Kayak race, jet sky, fishing, were also being held. If we take notice to the races, we can take conclusion, all those race were related with water. It’s normal thing since this event was called “Water Party” (Pesta Air).
I think Indonesia can held same event, maybe more interesting, since there are many water locations, such as Musi river or Bengawan Solo river.
