On Dec 23 2008, a special festival will be held in Alon-alon Kabupaten Ponorogo, East Java. Well, you can guess what kind of festival, since I wrote it as a title of this article giggle.
Yupp…it is Reog festival. More than 45 reog group will participate in that festival, came from many districts.
Reog became a hot issue between Indonesia and Malaysia, since Malaysia (gov?) claimed Reog as Malaysian culture.
In that festival, reog groups will be judged their performance in 4 point(s). They are “Wirogo” (move), “Wiroso” (deep expression), “Wiromo” (rhytm), and harmonization.
Wish I could attend there.
