If you’re looking to travel from Pisa Airport to Florence, the easiest and fastest way to do so is on the train. That said, there are several different options you can choose from depending on how much money you want to spend and whether or not you have any other stops along the way. This article will discuss your options, highlight their pros and cons, and help you make an informed decision about which option is best for you based on your individual needs and preferences.

Arrive at Pisa Airport

The pisa to florence train departs once an hour, takes 25 minutes and costs 12 euro. As soon as you land, head to carousel number four; that’s where your bags will arrive. After claiming your luggage, follow signs out of arrivals hall indicating towards taxis, bus services or rental cars. Proceed towards door nine where you’ll find a green sign indicating ‘RADIOTAXI’. Take one of these mini-vans outside by door nine and your ride should take around 15 minutes – they only accept cash (around 10 euro) so make sure you have enough on hand before making your way there.

Take the Bus

The cheapest way to travel from Pisa Airport to Florence is by taking a bus. If you’re looking for speed, however, you’ll want to take a train. The TrenItalia train is comfortable (as Italian trains go) and convenient, but not too cheap—you can expect a one-way ticket to cost about 40 euros. A bus will be about half that price—perfect if your time in Italy is limited! You can get a bus right outside of Pisa’s airport: There are several companies with buses leaving every 20 minutes or so. And like on most European buses, Wi-Fi is included in your ticket price! One downside: Because there’s no overnight option on these routes, you have no choice but to keep going until you reach your destination.

Buy a Train Ticket

Taking a train from Pisa to Florence is typically one of two ways people get between these two major cities. You can take a bus or a high-speed train, both of which will take you directly to central Florence. If you are on a budget, however, taking an intercity train that stops in many towns along its route (like Empoli) will cost significantly less than one that goes straight into downtown Florence. When you arrive at Pisa airport, head over to either track 17 or 18. At each terminal there are signs indicating where each track is located and monitors showing which trains will be leaving when.

Connect to Trenitalia

It’s possible to travel from Pisa airport, in Tuscany, Italy, to Florence via train. There are several direct trains a day that connect these two important Tuscan cities. The journey time is about an hour. A one-way ticket for adults costs about $12 and children’s tickets cost between $6-$8. This can be a slightly cheaper option than taking a taxi if you have more than three people traveling in your group. For example, it may cost as much as $50 or more for one taxi ride between Pisa airport to Florence city center; depending on traffic conditions of course.

Get off at Santa Maria Novella Train Station in Florence

The easiest way to get from Pisa airport to Florence is by train. Once you arrive at Pisa’s Galileo Galilei International Airport, go outside and head over to terminal 1 or 2—you can’t miss it. Then follow signs for Train Station (if you don’t see any, ask a staff member). You have two options: Frecciarossa (red line) or Frecciargento (silver line), both of which go directly into central Florence at Santa Maria Novella Train Station. Trains leave every 30 minutes on weekdays; once an hour on weekends. This ride will take between 50-70 minutes depending on traffic.
